Match Preview

Liverpool will hope to maintain their perfect start to the season when they face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday afternoon.

Premier League Table leaders Liverpool kick off this weekend’ matches when they travel to South Yorkshire to face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday.

Sheffield United has shown an excellent form on their return to the Premier League. Chris Wilder’s men are up to 10th on the league table, thanks to results against Chelsea and Everton, who they defeated last weekend at Goodison Park.

The European Champions, on the other hand, were victorious in the League Cup in the week, with youngsters showing their strength in the 2-0 win over MK Dons. In the Premier League, it has been perfect record for Liverpool, who have won six out of six and extended their club-record 15-game winning run in the top-flight at Chelsea last weekend.

Team News & Tactics

Sheffield United

Chris Wilder only has a few pressing concerns ahead of the visit of Liverpool. David McGoldrick is out with a groin injury he sustained some weeks ago, while star striker Billy Sharp is suspended after he was red-carded in the defeat to Southampton this month.

Sharp will be serving the final of his three-match suspension, and despite his absence, alongside McGoldrick, remains sidelined, Wilder has enough firepower in the attack to compensate for the absence of the duo.

Probable Lineup (3-5-2): Henderson; Basham, Egan, O’Connell; Baldock, Lundstram, Norwood, Fleck, Stevens; McBurnie, Mousset

 Liverpool

Klopp has seen his squad’s injury woes ease up ahead of the trip to Sheffield United. The Liverpool is still without the first-choice goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

However, Divock Origi is fit and available after missing the last three games due to an ankle injury.

Probable Lineup (4-3-3): Adrian; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Mane
