PSG Neymar has agreed to rejoin Barcelona in a deal that will last for five years.
The Brazillian is prepared to cut his pay by 12 million euros to leave Paris Saint-Germain as a feature of a “verbal agreement” that was struck between the PSG forward and Barcelona, as indicated by reports in Spain.
PSG are yet to endorse the release of their star striker, who joined them record fee of 222 million euros from Barca just two years ago.
However, Neymar is anxious to come back to Spain and Barcelona are ready to take him back, with Spanish Sports dailies Diario Sport reporting a five-year contract has been reached.
The paper claims the terms contains a deal that Neymar will decrease his pay from around 36 million euros he earns at PSG to the 24 million euros he received when before leaving Barca for PSG. Also, he will be dropping his 26-million euro court suit against the Catalan giants.
Barcelona sports paper Mundo Deportivo has revealed Neymar will likewise need to make an open apology to the fans for the way he left the club.
The Brazillian had gone through four years at Camp Nou, winning the Champions League in 2015 and two La Liga titles. He had an exciting time playing alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. The trio combined to break down defences and scored many goals.
Sports Newspaper believes Neymar’s is not inspired by money, however by his aspiration to reestablish himself as one of the best footballers in the world.
However, much is still expected to be done before any deal can be reached; the two clubs must agree on a transfer fee for the talented Brazillian.
At the moment, Neymar is nursing an injury in his ankle ligament, which has kept him out of the squad currently participating in the Copa America hosted by his country.
The Seleção will play Paraguay in the Copa America quarterfinals on Friday.
Reports also claim that Neymar may end up moving to Real Madrid – but only if a deal with Barcelona is not possible this summer.
