Manchester United have left their striker Romelu Lukaku from Norway trip to fuel transfer speculation
The Belgian international seems closer to an Old Trafford exit after his omission from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s latest squad.
The Belgium international failed to feature on the English club’s tour of Asia. Speculation about his future is set to continue after he was omitted from the 26-man squad named to fly to Norway.
Manchester United did not give any explanation for striker absence.
Serie A side Inter Milan have made their interest clear. Also, the 26-year-old fuelled rumours of a move over the weekend when he uploaded a photo to social media showing him with his agent Federico Pastorello, which he captioned: “Soon to be continued.”
Inter Milan might not be his only team after his signature; Italian champions, Juventus is also reportedly considering a move for the former Chelsea forward make.
Full-back Matteo Darmian, another player linked to Inter, has also been excluded from United’s team that travelled.
Eric Bailly did not travel after twisting his knee during last week’s 2-1 win over Tottenham in China.
The clash in Kristiansund is the penultimate match on United’s pre-season plan, with only an International Champions Cup game against AC Milan in Cardiff to follow.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men will begin their 2019/2020 Premier League campaign against Chelsea on 11 August.
